BUTTE — It was Butte Central's Senior Night, but a pair of underclassmen led the way for the Maroons on Tuesday.
Sophomore Kyler Holter led all scorers with 16 points and fellow sophomore Dougie Peoples added 12 as Central used a second-half surge to storm past Stevensville 60-36 in a Southwest A boys basketball game to keep the Yellowjackets searching for their first win of the season.
Central (5-5 overall, 3-4 in the Southwest A) led 15-12 after one quarter and held just a 24-20 lead heading into halftime. The Maroons rolled from there, outscoring the Jackets 36-16 after the break.
Bryson Sestrich added 10 points for Central to give the Maroons three players in double digits.
Stevensville (0-12, 0-9) was paced by Pierre Rottini with 8 points and Kellen Beller with 7.
Central heads to Livingston on Thursday.
