The Billings West boys and girls basketball teams completed impressive weekend sweeps Saturday, beating Great Falls CMR to stay perfect in their respective Eastern AA conference races.
Logan Meyer hit three 3-pointers in the first quarter to give the West boys an early lead that they'd never give up in a 74-43 rout. It's their 11th straight win, as West now sits 12-1 overall and 7-0 in conference, two games clear of Billings Skyview and Great Falls High.
The West girls had a tougher weekend task, going on the road against both Great Falls teams that sat one game behind the Bears in the standings. But after beating Great Falls High Friday, West outlasted CMR 48-39 Saturday to move to 10-3 overall and 7-0 in conference. The Bears also have a two-game lead in the standings.
