BOZEMAN — Saturday afternoon marked Senior Day for the Bozeman boys basketball team. It's been quite a ride for those seniors -- three state championship game appearances and one title.
But on Saturday, the Hawks were just looking to get past Billings West in a crucial Eastern AA game as the regular season draws to a close.
The first quarter was a back-and-forth contest, but -- behind seniors like Jackson Coles, Carter Ash and Brett Clark -- Bozeman went into halftime with a 23-13 lead and all the momentum.
But Billings West did not roll over, rallying from the 10-point deficit to force overtime. From there the Golden Bears would hit a few clutch free throws to spoil Bozeman's Senior Day with a 48-44 win.
