BILLINGS -- Punch, counter-punch. That's typically the story between Billings West and Bozeman on the boys basketball court and it was again on Tuesday night.
In a game that saw 10 lead changes, West ultimately shut down Bozeman's five-game winning streak holding the Hawks well below their season average in a 45-41 victory. West won its sixth straight.
Bozeman had been averaging more than 60 points per game but was held to a season low. The Hawks did get out to a quick start, leading 11-5, but that didn't last long thanks to Cade Tyson's season-high 18 points for West. Neil Daily added 11. Carter Ash led Bozeman (6-3 overall, 3-1 conference) in scoring with 17.
The Bears improve to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the Eastern AA.
