HELENA — In 2019, the Billings Christian Warriors lost the Montana Christian Athletic Association state title but went on to win a National Christian School Athletic Association title. Saturday, they righted Step 1.
The Warriors blitzed Gallatin Valley Homeschool, the team that beat them in 2019, 83-43 in this year's title game to claim the MCAA championship. Senior Drew Ouradnik was named MVP as the Warriors stayed undefeated on the season.
Billings' semifinal game proved to be much tougher this year, needing overtime to beat Stillwater Christian 77-69. Ouradnik had 42.
The Warriors told MTN Sports earlier in February that they planned to enter the NCSAA tournament again to defend their District 4C title. This year's event is March 5-7 in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
