GREAT FALLS — Eight home matches and a non-conference trip to Arizona highlight the 2019 schedule for the University of Providence women’s soccer program.
The Argos finished their 2018 season with a record of 7-9 overall and 5-7 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Providence will start 2019 with a trio of home scrimmages before opening the regular season against Mount Royal, Gillette College and Sheridan College (Wyo.) on August 13, 15 and 19.
The Argos will then open their regular season on the road as they travel to Billings for a non-conference matchup against Montana State University Billings on Sept. 1. The will then travel to Phoenix, Ariz. for a pair of matchups against Arizona Christian on Sept. 7 and Park University in Gilbert, Ariz. on Sept. 8. Providence will then make their way back to Montana as they travel to Billings to take on the Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears to close out non-conference play on Sept. 14.
Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) play will begin on Sept. 20 as the Argos will host the Northwest University Eagles, followed by a Saturday, Sept. 21 contest against the Evergreen State College Geoducks.
The Argos will make their first trip to the Evergreen State at the end of September and start of October as they take on the Oregon Tech on Sept. 27 and Southern Oregon on Sept. 29. Providence will then head slightly east as they travel to Caldwell, Idaho to take on the Yotes of College of Idaho on Oct. 4 before closing out their road trip with a clash against the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers on Oct. 5.
The Argos return home on Oct. 11 and 12 as they host the Corban University Warriors and Northwest Christian Beacons on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Providence will make a trip to Portland to play the Multnomah Lions on Oct. 18 before playing the Warner Pacific Knights on Oct. 19.
The Argos will host Rocky for a CCC matchup and Senior Day on Oct. 25 before closing out the season in Helena against the Carroll Saints on Nov. 2.
