GREAT FALLS — University of Providence men’s basketball is bringing on Missoula Hellgate High School’s Fisher Richardson for the 2019-20 season, announced head coach Steve Keller on Wednesday.
Richardson, a guard from Missoula, comes to the Argos after his high school career that started at Missoula Loyola High School before transferring to Hellgate High School for his senior year. As a Knight, Richardson competed as a dual-sport athlete in both football and basketball. He helped lead Hellgate’s boys basketball team to a Montana State AA runner-up finish during the 2018-19 season. Academically, Richardson is interested in pursuing a degree in business administration on the pre-law track at the University of Providence.
“We are excited to have Fisher Richardson join the Argo basketball program. Fisher played for coach Jeff Hays at Missoula Hellgate, so we know he has been well coached, which is really exciting for us to help further his development,” said Keller. “Fisher has the size and skills to play at the next level and we are looking forward to watching his progress in our league.”
