HELENA, Mont. — Shamrock Campbell’s three pointer with seconds left skittered across the rim and the No. 25 Providence Argonauts defeated No. 2 Carroll College Fighting Saints 78-77 on Friday night in Great Falls.

A testy game that featured four technical fouls called came to a boiling point with seconds remaining.

Brandon Cotton drove the lane and Ife Kalejaiye blocked his shot only to be called for a foul. Heated, Saints (20-3, 9-2 Frontier Conference) forward Match Burnham argued the call and received his second technical of the game.

Burnham exited the game, following teammate Matt Wyman, who injured his knee earlier in the first half and spent the rest of the game in street clothes.

The Argonauts sunk 3-of-4 free throws to grab a one-point lead with five seconds left.

Campbell drove the length of the court and took the final shot, narrowly missing.

Dane Warp led the Saints with 15 points and nine rebounds.

D’shea Williams led the Argonauts with 16 points.
