KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rocky Mountain College’s Eryn Ellis has been selected as a 2019 NAIA second-team all-American by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

Ellis was awarded the honor after finishing 21st among 155 golfers at the 2019 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship last week. She shot a 9-over-par 297, which counts as the school record for the lowest total at a 72-hole tournament.

This is the second all-American honor for the senior from Casper, Wyo. She earned a second team all-American selection last year after finishing 31st at the 2018 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship.

Selected the Frontier Conference Women’s Golfer of the Year last fall, Ellis graduates from Rocky Mountain College with one of the greatest golfing careers in school history.

“She is an amazing player with an amazing work ethic. She is a true student of the game,” said head women’s golf coach Aaron Pohle. “I”m super proud of her and all that she has done.”

The Battlin’ Bears now have 11 all-American selections between six individual golfers in program history.
