Eryn Ellis nearly wins Battle at Primm, Rocky Mountain College women 3rd, men 4th

PRIMM, Nev. – Placing second after a playoff, Rocky’s Eryn Ellis narrowly missed the women’s individual honors Tuesday at the Battle at Primm.

Rocky’s women finished in third among 12 teams. Ellis (145) tied British Columbia’s Esther Lee for first place. In the ensuing playoff, Lee secured the victory on the first hole.

Hayden Flohr shot a nine-over-par 153 to tie for 11th. Amanda Conner shared 13th with a 10-over-par 154. Anna DeMars tied with teammate Morgan O’Neil for 28th. Both shot 18-over-par 162.

Rocky’s men finished in fourth among 20 teams with 839.

Michael Tait tied for ninth after shooting one-under par 209. The senior shot 70 in the first round before firing 69 in second, and another 70 in the third.

Reece Nilsen and HoTae Kim tied each for 12th at even par 210. Colton Murphy placed in 21st on a score of three-over-par 213. Rocky’s Schaefer Paladichuk finished in 57th shooting a 10-over 220.

The next action for Rocky’s men and women will be at the Yellowjacket Spring Invite in Billings March 25-26.
