KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rocky Mountain College’s Brooke Jones and Olivia James were selected as 2019 Daktronics-NAIA DI Women’s Basketball Scholar Athletes Monday.
The two were among 148 NAIA Division I women’s basketball student-athletes selected by the NAIA for their excellence in the classroom.
Jones, a senior from Manhattan, will graduate this spring with a degree in exercise science. James, a junior from Layton, Utah, is currently pursuing a degree in mathematics. Both received the honor for the first time.
To be nominated for such an honor, a player must be have at least a junior academic status with a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
