Rocky Mountain College women place 3rd in GS at USCSA National Championships

JACKSON HOLE – The Rocky Mountain College women’s ski racing team took third Tuesday in the U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association’s (USCSA) National Championship’s giant slalom race.

The Battlin’ Bears finished with a total team time of 6:26.20 behind Castleton University and Sierra Nevada College.

Emeline Lafarge led the pack with a third place individual finish. Sitting on an initial run of 59.08, the senior from Chamonix, France, closed her second run in 1:00.02 for a total time of 1:59.1 and 20.86 race points.

Hannah Clancy took 26th on a total time of 2:11.3. Larissa Saarel finished in 41st place on a time of 2:15.8. Teammate Carina Bracy finished close behind in 48th on a time of 2:17.6.

The USCSA National Championship will continue through Saturday at Snow King Resort.
