BROOKINGS, S.D. – For their performance during the final day of the 2019 NAIA Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Championship, Rocky’s distance medley relay team earned All-American plaques.

Consisting of Elijah Boyd, Brenden Leaming, Joseph Vanden Bos, and Isaac Petsch, the team finished in seventh on a time of 10:19.05. The top eight teams in the NAIA receive All-American honors.

Boyd ran the 1200m portion of the race followed by senior Leaming in the 400m. Vanden Bos ran the 800m stretch and Petsch concluded the race in the mile.

This counts as the third All-American selection for Petsch who previously earned the honor in the mile in 2018 and as part of Rocky’s 4x400m relay team in 2017. Leaming previously earned the honor as a member of Rocky’s 2016 All-American distance medley relay team.

Elsewhere in the finals of the national championship, Petsch finished in ninth during the men’s mile on a time of 4:19.37.
