Selina Angel Rocky Mountain College track and field records at Stinger Open

SPEARFISH, S.D., February 17, 2019 – Rocky Mountain College’s Selina Angel broke two of her own school records at the 2019 Stinger Open in Spearfish, S.D. The women’s track and field team finished second overall in a field of eight teams.

Placing fifth in the women’s 60m hurdles, Angel’s time of 9.75 broke Rocky’s school record of 9.88. In the women’s high jump, the freshman from Roundup, Mont., finished in sixth and broke her school record of 3.09m/10’1.5″ with a height of 3.15m/10’4″.

Angel had previously set both of those records earlier this season.

Sabrina Wolcott set the initial school record in the women’s triple jump with a distance of 9.97m/32’8.5″. The freshman from Laurel, Mont., finished in fourth.

The men’s track and field team finished in third in a field of 10 teams.

John Bass placed second in the men’s 60m on a personal best time of 7.22. Brenden Leaming finished in second in the men’s 400m with a time of 51.36.

Jackson Duffey took second in the men’s 5000m with a time of 16:16.26. Eddie Loughran finished right behind his teammate in third place on a time of 16:22.05.

Michael Lee placed third in the men’s shot put with a throw of 14.57m/47’9.75″.
