Rocky Mountain College ski teams sweep USCA meet

CASPER, Wyo.– Rocky’s men’s and women’s ski teams swept the USCA GT/Rocky Duel Meet over the weekend with a pair of first place finishes.

11 teams competed in the event which consisted of slalom runs on Saturday and Sunday.

With three racers completing runs for each team, Rocky’s Emeline LaFarge, Hannah Clancy, and Larissa Saarel finished with a total time of 5:37.85 on Saturday. The following day, the trio finished with a combined time of 5:41.02 to place first for the weekend with a total overall time of 11:18.87.

The men’s team finished the first day with a total time of 5:31.34 before finishing with the lowest total time of the weekend, 5:12.93, on Sunday. The team, consisting of Esten Falkeste, Andraz Reich-Pogladic, and Oscar Dalmalm, finished in first with a total overall time of 10:44.27 which was a full minute less than any other team over the weekend.

The ski racing teams will next compete in NOR/AM FIS in Sun Valley, Idaho on Feb. 5.
