BILLINGS – Rocky Mountain College will host a doubleheader against Montana Western Thursday night.

The women’s game against the Bulldogs will tip off at 5:30 p.m. The No. 17 ranked Battlin’ Bears will look to carry the momentum from their two victories last week into a match-up against the No. 3 ranked team in the NAIA. The Bulldogs are led by Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, Brianna King. King has won the award the past five weeks and is fresh off a conference-high 37 points against the No. 20 ranked Argos.

Rocky will look to Kloie Thatcher who has scored in the double digits in her past four games. In the 59-55 upset over No. 8 ranked Carroll College last week, Thatcher posted a career-high 26 points. Her 93 assists count as second most in the Frontier Conference. Justyn Juhl posted her first double double of the season against the Orediggers Saturday with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The senior from Billings, Mont., leads the conference in total blocks with 20.

The men’s game will begin at 7:30 p.m. Having split their pair of conference games last week, Rocky will have to contend with Montana Western’s Cedric Boone. Boone is the Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 28.5 points in the past week.

The Battlin’ Bears will continue to look to Jared Samuelson. The junior from Billings, Mont., is ranked No. 4 in the NAIA Division 1 for total scoring and leads the Frontier Conference with 397 points. Satchel McDonald aims to continue his success. He was a perfect 7-7 from the floor on his way to 17 points against the Orediggers.

Rocky will play Lewis-Clark State on Jan. 26. The women’s game will start earlier than usual at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the Fortin Education Center. The men’s game will tip off at 5 p.m.
