Falksete, LaFarge, McCormick pace Rocky Mountain College skiers at Montana State Invitational

BOZEMAN – Rocky Mountain College continued the 2019 season in the Montana State Invitational at the Bridger Bowl Ski Area. Giant Slalom races were held on Wednesday and Thursday with Slalom races taking place on Friday and Saturday.

In the opening event Wednesday, Esten Falksete finished with runs of 47.13 and 50.66 to place 31st in the Giant Slalom. Sean McCormick finished in 34th on a total time of 1:38.53. For the women’s team, Emeline LaFarge finished her two trips down the hill on a combined time of 1:47.13 to place in 33rd.

McCormick, the only Battlin’ Bear to finish both runs Thursday, finished the Giant Slalom in 40th place with a total time of 1:38.61.

In the Slalom on Friday, Adam Garrigus finished in 47th on a combined time of 2:04.87. Falksete’s total time of 1:59.87 on Saturday gave him a 45th finish on the day.

The women’s Slalom was cancelled Friday due to technical difficulties.

The event featured several of the top NCAA programs in the country.
