Morgan Allen breaks Rocky Mountain College high jump record

BOZEMAN, Mont. and SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears opened their indoor track and field season at the Montana State Open in Bozeman Mont., and the Myrle Hanson Open in Spearfish, S.D.

At the Montana State Open, Rocky’s Jackson Duffey finished first in the men’s 3000 meter run with a time of 9:04.90. George Beddow finished in sixth on a time of 9:38.13.

In the women’s high jump, Morgan Allen soared to a school record-breaking height of 1.50 meters to place in fourth.

Isaac Petsch ran a time of 4:23.00 to finish in third during the men’s 1 mile run.

In Spearfish, S.D., Rocky’s top finish went to Michael Lee who finished second in the men’s shot put. Lee nabbed Rocky’s school record with a distance of 14.92 meters.

Other highlights include a fourth place finish by Rayna Laakso in the women’s long jump with a distance of 4.51 meters. Selina Angel placed in fourth during the women’s 60 meter hurdles with a time of 10.74.
