BILLINGS – Rocky Mountain College volleyball head coach Laurie Kelly has announced Kailey Thomson’s signing of a Letter-of-Intent for the Fall of 2019.

The 5’3″ defensive specialist from Billings, Mont., attended Billings Skyview High School before playing two years as a Pioneer for Miles Community College.

“Kailey has gained some valuable experience in her two years at Miles Community College. She has improved her game and is ready to contribute to our program at Rocky Mountain College,” said Kelly. “We are excited to have another player from Billings on our roster.”

Thomson totaled 1,339 total digs on an average of 5.85 digs per set as a Pioneer. In 2017, she ranked No. 3 in digs per set and No. 6 in total digs for the NJCAA Division 1. While at Miles Community College, she earned second team all-conference for the Mon-Dak Conference and was selected to the all-regional team.

“I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunity for Kailey to be joining one of the nation’s elite programs,” said Miles Community College head volleyball coach, Chase Soennichsen. “She was a dominant defensive player in Region 13 for Miles Community College and we look forward to seeing her continued success at Rocky Mountain College.”

Thomson plans to major in Elementary Education at Rocky Mountain College. She is the daughter of Kory and Rhonda Thomson of Billings, Mont.
