Rocky Mountain College football gets honored with 3 all-Americans

BILLINGS – Rocky Mountain College is proud to announce that Ryder Rice, Jacob Bakken, and Troy Bacon have been awarded 2018 NAIA All-America Football Team honors.

Rice, a junior defensive end from Savage, Mont., was named to the 2018 NAIA All-America Second Team Defense after recording 56 tackles, 17 tackles for a loss, 12.5 sacks, and an interception in the 2018 season. Leading the conference in total sacks, tackles for a loss, and tackles for a loss per game, Rice was ranked No. 6 in total sacks and No. 8 in sacks per game in the NAIA.

Both Bakken and Bacon received an All-American Honorable Mention. Bakken, a senior quarterback from Wibaux, Mont., threw for 3,448 yards and 35 touchdowns to lead the Frontier Conference in both categories. Bakken ranked No. 2 in total offense and total passing in the entire NAIA. Bacon, a senior center from Oak Hills, Calif., was a mainstay in an offensive line that powered Rocky’s No. 2 ranked pass offense and No. 12 ranked scoring offense.
