Three Rocky Mountain College volleyball players earn AVCA regional honors

BILLINGS – Three Battlin’ Bears earned NAIA Northwest Region honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Rocky Mountain College’s Hailey Copinga was not only named to the All-Region Team, but was named Player of the Year for the Northwest Region.

The senior right side hitter from Billings, Mont., finished the 2018 season with 389 kills and 99 assists. She also contributed 481 digs and 130 total blocks.

She was ranked No. 4 on the season for total blocks and blocks per set in the Frontier Conference.

Both Olivia L’Ami and Natalie Hilderman were named Honorable Mentions.

L’Ami, a senior middle blocker from Casper, Wyo., finished the season with 369 kills and 58 total blocks.

Hilderman, a sophomore setter from Red Lodge, Mont., finished the season with 1,245 assists, 38 service aces, 399 digs, and 71 total blocks. Hilderman was ranked No. 1 in terms of total assists in the Frontier Conference.
