Rocky Mountain College stays hot with sweep of Lewis-Clark State

LEWISTON, Idaho – The No. 7 Rocky Mountain College volleyball team added their 12th sweep of the season with a three set win over the Warriors. The Battlin’ Bears (18-1, 6-0 FC) extended their winning streak to 17 wins with the last four being clean sweeps.

Following a pattern, all three sets ended 25-21 in Rocky’s favor.

Hailey Copinga was the driving force behind the Battlin’ Bears stampede. She knocked down an impressive 16 kills while also leading the team with 14 digs defensively.

Olivia L’Ami recorded nine kills while Miranda Gallagher added an additional eight.

Natalie Hilderman orchestrated 31 assists in support of the team.

Libero Ruby Kallenbach contributed 13 digs on the night.

Rocky will next play in the 2018 Grand View Tournament on Oct. 12-13. The first match against Cardinal Stritch will take place at 3:00 p.m. in Des Moines, Iowa. Later that night, Rocky will once again face Olivet Nazarene at 8:00 p.m. The following Saturday, the Battlin’ Bears will have the chance to test their mettle against No. 4 ranked Viterbo and No. 2 ranked host Grand View.
