KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Rocky Mountain College leads three Frontier Conference teams ranked in the latest NAIA Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, which was released Tuesday.

The Battlin’ Bears slipped from No. 6 to No. 7 this week, despite running its winning streak to 16 games with conference sweeps of the University of Providence and Montana State-Northern last week. Rocky is 17-1 this season, last losing to College of Idaho in five sets back on Aug. 15. College of Idaho is ranked 12th in the latest poll.

Rocky next plays Lewis-Clark State in a Frontier Conference match on Oct. 6.

Montana Tech slid three spots from last week’s No. 20 ranking. The Orediggers are ranked 23rd this week, one spot ahead of No. 24 Providence. Tech is 12-8 this season but has lost two of its past three matches. The Argos, meanwhile, have won four of five to improve to 12-6. They were unranked last week. Tech and Providence are set to meet for a conference showdown on Oct. 5 at Great Falls.

Carroll College (15-9) is among the other teams to receive votes.

Undefeated Park (Mo.) took 20 first-place votes to maintain its No. 1 ranking in the poll. Grand View (Iowa), Columbia (Mo.), Viterbo (Wis.) and Missouri Baptist round out the top five. Missouri Baptist was ranked eighth last week but vaulted up the rankings after a five-set win over then-No. 4 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.).
