No. 6 Rocky Mountain College improves to 16-1

BILLINGS – The No. 6 ranked Battlin’ Bears extended their win streak to 15 with a clean sweep over the Argos.

The match marks the tenth sweep for Rocky (16-1, 4-0) on the season.

The Battlin’ Bears cruised through the first two sets with scores of 25-10 and 25-15. The Argos, facing a sweep in the third set, refused to go down without a fight. In a close battle that bounced from one side to the next, the Battlin’ Bears had to claw the sweep from the Argos 30-28 during a thrilling third set.

Olivia L’Ami paved the way for Rocky with 12 kills.

Hailey Copinga contributed 9 kills and 18 defensive digs. Ruby Kallenbach added an additional 20 digs of her own.

Natalie Hilderman orchestrated 28 assists and 17 digs for the Battlin’ Bears.

The Battlin’ Bears will quickly move on to play MSU-Northern in a match on Saturday. That action will begin at 2 p.m in Fortin Education Center.
