BILLINGS – The Rocky Mountain College men’s cross country team has secured a No. 22 national ranking in the first regular-season 2018 NAIA Men’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.

After a first place finish at the Carroll Early Bird Open on Sept. 7, Rocky climbed into the national rankings after not earning a place in the preseason poll. The Battlin’ Bears earned 179 points based on voting from head coaches representing the NAIA’s athletic conferences.

A No. 22 ranking is the highest ranking for Rocky Mountain College since Sept. 2016 when the team was ranked No. 21.

The Battlin’ Bears will next travel to Great Falls, Mont. to take part in the Providence Open at the Hickory Swing Golf Course on Sept. 21.
