KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears men’s soccer team secured a 1-0 victory over the Oregon Tech Owls Saturday to split their first Cascade Conference road trip of the season.

Rocky (5-2, 1-1 CCC) lost to Southern Oregon Friday, but bounced back with a win thanks to a goal in the 62nd minute by Mason Luse. The senior corralled a cross from Milo Downey and found the back of the net from the inside of the box.

Goalkeeper Kristofer Wennin kept a clean sheet and managed to secure two saves.

Rocky’s women meanwhile played to a goalless draw against the Owls. Rocky (4-2-1, 0-1-1 CCC) had a 16-13 shot advantage, but managed just five shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Maia Wetzel kept a clean sheet while securing four saves.

Rocky returns home for a double-header with the College of Idaho next Saturday at Wendy’s Field. The women’s match will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the men slated for 3:30 p.m.
