WHITEFISH — Sean Benson of Montana Tech was selected as the Frontier Conference men’s golfer of the week, the league announced Monday.
Benson, a senior from Billings, won medalist honors at the 2019 Frontier Conference championship tournament at Papago Golf Course with a three-round score of a 4-under-par 212. Benson receives an automatic bid to the 68th annual NAIA men’s golf national championship May 21-24 at Las Sendas Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
He is the first Montana Tech golfer to claim conference tournament medalist honors.
Marissa Louder of Lewis-Clark State College was selected as the Frontier Conference women’s golfer of the week after winning the Frontier Conference championship tournament.
