WHITEFISH — The Frontier Conference released its volleyball preseason coaches poll on Thursday and Montana Tech was picked to repeat as conference champions

The Orediggers earned four first-place votes after their impressive 2018 campaign. They went to the NAIA national championship quarterfinals before losing to Missouri Baptist, 3-1 (20-25, 25-27, 23-25, 24-26). Montana Tech defeated Rocky Mountain College in last year’s Frontier Conference championship, its first in program history.

The Battlin’ Bears were picked to finish second and received two first-place votes. Rocky posted a 23-11 (9-3 Frontier) overall record last season. They are also returning all three of their top leaders in the kills category. Following Rocky Mountain is Carroll College, the only other team to receive a first-place selection. The Saints finished the campaign with a 16-13 record, including going 8-4 in conference.

Coaches are prohibited to vote for their own programs during the polling process. Here are the final results.
