HAVRE — Montana State-Northern head coach Andrew Rolin released the latest list of Lights football recruits, with 11 new additions to the 19 that had already committed as of January.
The Lights 2019 recruiting class now sits at 30 athletes with a few more athletes expected to sign before spring drills begin in March.
Below are the additions to the Lights’ 2019 signing class in alphabetical order, including thoughts from coach Rolin on each recruit:
Zavier Baldwin, DL, 6-2, 250 lbs, Kirland, WA (Juanita HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “A long, phsycial defensive lineman. Has the ability to be stout against the run, while being able to get after the QB.”
Ryan Barton, TE, 6-3, 210 lbs, Caldwell, ID (Caldwell HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “1st Team All Confrence Tight End. Physical player that has the capability to make plays down field.”
Isaiah Eubanks, S, 5-11, 195 lbs, Kirkland, WA (Jaunita HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “Explosive and physical athlete that will work to compete immediately for the Northern Defense. Has great coverage and tackling abilities.”
Omari Hastings, DL, 6-3, 275 lbs, Toronto, QC, CN (Toronto West Prep)
Coach Rolin comment: “Physical, athletic defensive lineman that will look to make an impact immediately for the Northern Defense.”
Kyle Jacklich, RB, 6-0, 190 lbs, Modesto, CA (Central Catholic HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “Powerful runner that is also very alusive. Very physical player that played on one of the top programs in California.”
Trey Long, QB, 6-1, 195, Lake Stevens, WA (Lake Stevens HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “Quarterback for the Washington State Championship runner up. Very accurate arm while throwing for a 72% completion rate as a senior. Can make plays with his feet as well.”
Marcello Longstreth, SAF, 5-11, 185 Modesto, CA (Gregori HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “Was a do-it-all athlete for his high school team. Was one of the top two way players in his area. Plays with great instincts and physicality.”
Joshua Rose, CB, 6-0, 180 lbs, Las Vegas, NV (Cheyenne HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “Explosive athlete who played Quarterback in addition to multiple spots in the secondary. We are very excited about his versatility and overall athletic ability.”
Michael Ulugalu, LB, 5-9, 190 lbs, Seattle, WA (O’Dea HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “Physical, athletic defensive lineman that will look to make an impact immediately for the Northern Defense.”
Dylan Wampler, LB, 6-0, 215 lbs, Peoria, AZ (Centennial HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “Arizona Cardinals Defensive Player of the Year. Led the Centennial defense to a 5A state championship. Physical player that has the ability to make plays in space.”
Tristin Willis, OL, 6-4, 250 lbs, Mount Vernon, WA (Mount Vernon HS)
Coach Rolin comment: “Dominant in the trenches with great size and athleticism. He plays with a very physical nature and will look to compete for a starting job this upcoming fall. He also is a very good wrestler and will finish out his senior year competing in track.”
