HELENA — After losing 5 straight games, the Fighting Saints bounced back and swept their Friday double-header against the University of British Columbia 6-1 and 6-3.

The Saints called on senior Tess Eaton to pitch game one, and while she gave up eight hits, she only gave up one run. In the batters box, the Saint’s combined for 15 hits, including 3 home runs, which propelled their 6-1 victory.

In game two, the Carroll tapped Ali Williams to pitch and after two scoreless innings, the British Columbia’s Claire Eccles hit a two-run home run to break the scoreless tie. The Saint’s got on the board in with a grand slam by Tiana Sell and would not give up the lead en route to the 6-3 win.

The Saint’s will host the Thunderbirds, on Carroll College’s Senior Day, for one more conference game and an exhibition game on April 20, with the conference game starting at 11 a.m. and the exhibition game starting at 1 p.m.
