Bozeman’s Lynch, Kalispell’s Boles sign with Carroll College volleyball

HELENA — Carroll College Saints volleyball coach Moe Boyle announced the signing of two recruits to her 2019 class. The Saints added Mara Lynch of Bozeman and Madison Boles of Kalispell.

“These young ladies epitomize what it means to be a student-athletes and we are proud to welcome them to our family,” Boyle said. “I’m really looking forward to coaching these young ladies as I believe they have a lot to offer at this level.”

Lynch is a senior at Bozeman High. The 5-foot-8 outside hitter and libero is fresh off earning the 2018 Montana Class AA Eastern MVP on the court. She was a 2018 all-state selection and also a decorated track athlete, having earned all-state honors as a pole vaulter in 2017.

She holds a 3.7 GPA and anticipates going into nursing .

“Mara was the MVP of the Eastern AA this year where she led her team to a runner-up finish at the state tournament,” Boyle said. “She might be small, but she is mighty.”

She’s been academic all-state in track, as well as in volleyball.

“I chose to come to Carroll because of its all-around atmosphere,” Lynch said. “I really like the coaches and players on the team and the fact that Carroll is a really good school.”

Boles comes to Carroll after a standout career at Flathead High. The 6-foot outside hitter served as the volleyball team’s captain the past two seasons. At the same time, she earned two all-conference selections and was named the team’s MVP. She also played on the MVA U-18 national club volleyball team.

“I chose Carroll because when I went to visit, all the coaches and athletes that I met made me feel very welcome,” Boles said. “They are fun to be around and easy to talk to. I also like that Carroll is a Christian college, has smaller class sizes and is close to home.”

Boles sports a 3.6 GPA at Flathead. She has interest in studying business and psychology and perhaps pursuing coaching one day.

Boles will also high jump for the Carroll track and field team.
