KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Carroll College and Montana Western lead four Frontier Conference teams ranked in the latest edition of the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, which was released Tuesday.

Carroll is the top-ranked Frontier team in the rankings at No. 8. The Saints, who are 6-2 this season, slipped one spot from their No. 7 preseason ranking. Western, meanwhile, held steady at No. 9 in the rankings.

The University of Providence and Rocky Mountain College both climbed up in the latest poll, the Argos going from 18th to 13th and the Battlin’ Bears from 24th to 18th. Providence is 7-2 on the season, while Rocky is 8-1.

The Frontier just missed having five teams ranked in the top 25. Lewis-Clark (Idaho) State received the 26th-most votes.

Vanguard (Calif.) maintained its No. 1 ranking from the preseason, receiving seven first-place votes. Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) earned two first-place votes to climb from fifth to second in this week’s poll. Wayland Baptist (Texas), Columbia (Mo.) and Campbellsville (Ky.) complete the top five.
