No. 22 Carroll College men’s basketball starts road trip with win over Corban

HELENA — The No. 22 Carroll College Saints men’s basketball started their west coast road trip with a win, defeating Corban 76-62 on Friday night in Kirkland, Washington.

Matt Wyman led the Saints with 27 points, while Ife Kalejaiye (13), Shamrock Campbell (12) and Jovan Sljivancanin (11) joined him in double figures.

Six Saints (5-0) scored on the night.

Carroll shot 48 percent from the field, 52 percent from the three-point line and 78 percent from the free-throw line.

The Saints played two consistent halves, scoring 38 points each period to hold off the Warriors of Corban.

Corban (4-1) received 21 points from Beau Roggenbach, but gave up the ball too much. The Warriors finished with 24 turnovers, 12 more than the Saints.

Carroll is right back in action on Saturday, playing host Northwest University at 8 p.m.
