WHITEFISH — Match Burnham helped the No. 22-ranked Carroll College Saints go 2-0 last week in Butte. For his efforts, he’s been named the Frontier Conference’s men’s basketball player of the week.
It’s Burnham’s first weekly honor this season.
The 6-foot-8 senior from Spangle, Washington, helped the Saints (4-0) to wins over Dickinson State and Warner Pacific. He scored 33 points in Carroll’s 89-77 win over DiSU, a few points shy of his career high. A night later, he scored 13 and as the Saints took care of Warner Pacific, 75-66. He shot a combined 15-for-30 from the field and went 13-of-14 from the foul line.
The Saints head to Seattle this weekend for games against Corban and Northwest.
