HELENA — The Carroll College Saints fell 86-43 in an exhibition against Gonzaga on Friday in Spokane.

The Saints trailed 24-9 after one quarter and had trouble cutting into the lead throughout.

The Zags had five players in double figures, while Hannah Dean led the Saints with 11 points and five rebounds.

The Saints had a tough shooting night against the Bulldogs, hitting 30 percent of their field goals, and also had a hard time at the foul line hitting 7-of-15 shots.

The Saints are using these difficult exhibition games as a way to build toward their games that count later in the season, especially during conference season.

Carroll plays Montana State on Nov. 6  in Bozeman as its final exhibition contest.
