Carroll College women’s soccer draws, men win at College of Idaho

CALDWELL, Idaho — The Carroll College women’s soccer team’s unbeaten record in conference remained in tact on Sunday.

The Saints tied College of Idaho 2-2 in Caldwell to improve to 5-0-2 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, and 6-5-2 overall.

College of Idaho grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first half when Madison Glascock put away a goal in the 33rd minute.

Carroll responded in the second half. In the 50th minute, Charly Clements received a flip throw-in from Taryn Neameyer and converted it off one touch to tie the game 1-1.

The Saints took the lead in the 63rd minute when Payton Netz scored off a McKenna Payne pass.

Carroll held that lead until the 83rd minute when Maddie Brown scored on a header in the box.

Neither side could find the net in the final few minutes and in two overtime periods.

The Saints travel to Great Falls on Oct. 13 to face the Argonauts.


Jose Porras did it again.

Porras took a cross form Nick Lowrimore found the net in overtime to give the Carroll College Saints men’s soccer team a 2-1 win over College of Idaho on Sunday in Caldwell.

The two teams battled evenly the majority of the way until Carroll broke through in the second half.

The Saints (5-5, 4-4 CCC) seized the lead when Lowrimore took a pass from Porras to beat the keeper in the 69th minute.

Carroll held that lead until the 89th minute, when Adam Prskavec took a pass from Lucas Thorne and knotted the game 1-1.

Once in overtime, the Saints wasted little time, as Georgiades scored the game-winning goal in the 92nd minute.

Kaden Connor made two saves for the Saints on the day.

Porras now has four game-winning goals on the season, one of the best marks in the NAIA.

Carroll next travels to face the University of Providence on Oct. 13.
