HELENA – Carroll College head golf coach Bennett MacIntyre announced the signing of four golfers; Chase Marquette of Cle Elum, Washington, Josh Neth of Belgrade, Montana, Caroline Hobson of Hillsboro, Oregon and Aubrey Davis a transfer from Spokane Community College to join the Saints golf program this fall.

Neth played high school golf for Manhattan and has three high school meet victories to his credit.

“Josh is a high academic guy and knows how to compete in this type of climate,” Macintyre said. “We love to get those Montana golfers who are ready to go.”

Hobson, who prepped at Valley Catholic and has a handicap of 12, will look to compete for a varsity spot as a freshman.

“Caroline is also going to bring a leadership quality to our program and we were excited she chose Carroll over some other really great academic institutions,” MacIntyre said.

Davis who went to Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane will look to make an impact right away as a transfer student with two years of eligibility remaining.

“Aubrey was second team all-league in high school, a state qualifier in Washington and been on a winning NWAC championship team,” MacIntyre said. “She will have an impact on our team right away and wants to get involved in the Carroll and Helena community as an upperclassman.”

Rounding out the recruiting class is Marquette. He has two top 10 individual performances at the state golf tournament in Washington and is a two-time First Team All-League guy for Cle Elum Roslyn HS.

“Chase is a guy who picked up the game of golf a bit later and has really excelled at it in a short amount of time,” Macintyre said. “The sky is the limit for this guy, he works hard, very polished golfer and loves to compete, really excited to have him help elevate our program.”

The Fighting Saints will be in action the weekend of September 9th in Butte to kick off the season at the Montana Tech Invitational.
