LEWISTON, Idaho — Lewis-Clark State’s men’s basketball team left little doubt on Saturday night, throttling visiting Montana State-Northern, 95-53, to advance to the Frontier Conference championship game.

The Warriors started the game on a 15-4 run and never looked back, building a 41-20 advantage by halftime. The second half was much of the same, as it quickly became out of Northern’s reach. The Warriors tacked on 54 second-half points, which is more than Northern scored the entire game.

Lewis-Clark had six players in double figures, led by Josiah Westbrook, Cory Dollarhide and Trystan Bradley, who all finished with 13 points. All 12 players on the Warriors’ roster made at least one field goal. Caulin Bakalarski was Northern’s only player in double figures, finishing with a game-high 17 points.

Lewis-Clark turns its focus to Tuesday night’s Frontier Conference championship game with Carroll College in Helena. The winner gains the Frontier Conference’s automatic bid to the NAIA national tournament March 20-26 in Kansas City, Mo.
