Steve Keller’s Providence Argos blow out his former Montana Western team

GREAT FALLS – The No. 23 ranked University of Providence men’s basketball team hosted Montana Western on Saturday. The Argos won in a blowout, 112-69. The Providence players played inspired basketball to get the win for first-year head coach Steve Keller.

It was the first time this season that Keller coached against his old team since he agreed to become the Providence head coach last year. Five Argos players scored double figures, led by Brandon Cotton with 22 points and Jacob Wetzel, who picked up a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Kooper Kidgell and Troy Scott both led Western with 13 points each.

Providence now sits at 12-3 on the year and will host MSU Northern next on Jan. 8.. Montana Western drops to 7-8.
