BILLINGS – Holding on to the Mike Grob Cup for another year, Rocky Mountain College won the annual match play event over the Montana State University Billings men’s golf team.
Entering the final day of the three-day affair all square at 3-3, Rocky put its foot on the gas and won all six individual matchups on its home course Peter Yegen Saturday to claim the cup title. The Bears won 2 of 3 alternate shot matches on Thursday at Yegen, before MSUB responded with 2 of 3 best ball matches at Lake Hills Golf Club on Friday.
It was the final action of the 2018 fall season for MSUB, which resumes its schedule February 25-26, 2019 at the Bay Area Invitational in San Francisco.
