KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Rocky Mountain College and Montana Western continue to inch up the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The latest rankings were released Monday.

The Battlin’ Bears (5-2) moved up one place to No. 15 in this week’s rankings after Saturday’s easy win over Montana State-Norther. Montana Western, which improved to 5-1 with a win over Carroll College, climbed to No. 18 from last week’s No. 19 ranking.

Southern Oregon, despite losing two consecutive games, is still the highest-ranked Frontier Conference team in the poll. The Raiders (4-2) slid from No. 7 to No. 14 after Saturday’s loss to Eastern Oregon. With that win, the Mountaineers climbed five spots to 19th in the rankings to give the Frontier four teams in the top 20.

Montana Tech, which was ranked 25th last week, fell out of the top 25 after its overtime loss to College of Idaho.

Morningside (Iowa) again topped the rankings, receiving 15 first-place votes. Marian (Ind.) got the other first-place vote and sits second in the rankings. Northwestern (Iowa), Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Reinhardt (Ga.) round out the top five.
