Rocky Mountain College announces 2018 cross country schedule

BILLINGS – The schedule for the 2018 Rocky Mountain College cross country team was announced this afternoon by head coach Mike McLean. The Battlin’ Bears will compete in seven regular season events and the Frontier Conference Championship.

The Rocky women will open the season at the Big Wave Invitational in Kahuku, Hawaii on September 1.

Three straight races in Montana follow, including the Carroll College Early Bird Open on September 7 and the University of Providence Open on September 21. The Battlin’ Bears will close September at the Montana Open on September 28.

Rocky will compete at the Inland Empire Championships on October 13 in Lewiston, Idaho. They will then run in the Montana Western Open on October 19 with a men’s team competing in the Great Lakes Challenge on October 20 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Frontier Championships are slated for November 2 in Great Falls. The NAIA National Championships move to Cedar Rapids, Iowa this year and will be run on November 16.
