HAVRE — Montana State University-Northern women’s basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Petra Sellin to join the Skylight program this fall. Sellin, a 5-foot-9 guard, is from Angelholm, Sweden.

Sellin played for three years in the Second League in Sweden. In 2015-2016, she averaged 9.7 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game. She was a member of the Under-15 Swedish Regional and National teams, and played for her State Under-16, Under-17, and Under-18 teams.

In 2017, Sellin signed with NCAA Division II member Cameron University where she spent two seasons playing for the Aggies. As a freshman, she saw action in 22 games and started twice. As a sophomore, she appeared in 28 games and started one.

“Petra has good length and can play up to three positions on the floor,” Mouat said. “She is a good 3-point shooter, sees the floor well, and excellent from the free throw line (80 percent). Beyond that, she is an excellent student and a person that I think will be a really good fit in our program.”

Sellin carries a 3.7 grade-point average. She plans on majoring in business at MSU-Northern. She is the daughter of Tina Vilhelmsson and Jorgen Sellin.
