Rocky Mountain College women finish 15th at Bobcat Spring Invite

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The ninth-ranked Rocky Mountain College women’s golf team wrapped up play at the Bobcat Spring Invitational on Tuesday with a 15th-place finish. Rocky was the only team in the field of 16 that wasn’t representing a NCAA Division I school.

The Battlin’ Bears finished the three rounds of play with 988 strokes on the Golf Club of Estrella. Over the three rounds, the team carded 126 pars and eight birdies. They opened the two-day event by shooting 320 during Monday’s first round. The final two rounds saw Rocky shoot 330 and 338.

Eryn Ellis overcame an opening round 80 with back-to-back rounds of 77 to finish tied for 42nd with 234 strokes. She finished the week at 7-over par on the par-4 holes and with a total of 30 pars and four birdies.

Hayden Flohr shot 248 to tie for 72nd after an opening round 78. Amanda Conner used her second round 78 to finish tied for 79th with 254 strokes. Morgan O’Neil shot 260 to place 83rd.

Rocky will close the regular season next week when they compete at the Yellowjacket Spring Invite on April 16-17 at Lake Hills Golf Club.
