Isaac Petsch wins 1,500 to pace Rocky Mountain College at WAR XI

SPOKANE, Wash. – Isaac Petsch won the men’s 1,500 Meter on Saturday at the WAR XI to highlight the performance of the Rocky Mountain College track & field team. The meet was hosted by Spokane Community College at the Spokane Falls Track Complex.

Petsch defeated 43 athletes across NCAA Division I, II, and the NAIA with his time of 3:54.10. His fastest unadjusted time in the event this season is the fifth fastest in school history. Petsch has now won both 1,500 races he has competed in during the outdoor season.

Jackson Duffey added a 10th-place finish in the men’s 5,000 Meter after recording a time of 15:14.19. The time ranks second in school history behind the 14:58.35 set by Cesar Mireles during the 2012 outdoor season.

In the men’s 100 Meter Dash, Brenden Leaming tied his own school record by finishing in 11.55 seconds.

Corinne Hamilton provided the Battlin’ Bears a 10th-place finish in the women’s 1,500 Meter. Her time of 5:03.32 is the fastest by a Rocky runner in the event this season.

Bailey Bard had a pair of 13th-place finishes. She went 13.46 seconds in the women’s 100 Meter and 27.50 seconds in the women’s 200 Meter. Her time on the 200 is a personal best while the 100 time is a season best.
