Carroll’s Ryan Imhoff named NAIA Player of the Week

WHITEFISH, Mont. – Ryan Imhoff was named the NAIA National Player of the Week after leading the Saints to two wins over ranked foes in the final week of the regular season to help Carroll clinch their second consecutive Frontier Conference title, the association announced Tuesday.

Imhoff averaged 17.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.0 steals. He shot 14-23 (60.9 percent) from the field and was 7-10 from the line in two games.

The Saints topped No. 19 Lewis-Clark State 69-64 Thursday. Imhoff had a game-high 19 points and added seven rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Against No. 10 Montana Western, He notched a double-double with a team-high 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. He also added a pair of assists and a pair of steals. He was 7-10 from the field.

He was also a big key in Carroll holding both teams to well below their season average of offensive output.

Imhoff is also on the Small College Basketball Bevo Francis Award Top-50 Watch List.

This is the first National Player of the Week nod since Match Burnham earned the honor in the 2015-16 season.

Carroll earned a first round bye in the Frontier playoffs and hosts the lowest remaining seed Friday night at 7 p.m. at the PE Center.
