Montana Western’s Cierra Lamey wins women’s Frontier player of the week honor

WHITEFISH — Cierra Lamey of Montana Western was named the Frontier Conference’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Lamey is a 5-foot-10 junior forward from Wise River, Mont. This past weekend, the 24th ranked Bulldogs went 2-0. Western downed MSU-Northern 62-57 and No. 19 University of Providence 68-55.

She averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and one steal per game. She was 12 of 22 from the field and 7 of 10 from the free throw line. In the win over Providence, she was a perfect 5 of 5 for 3-point field goals

Also nominated and listed in alphabetical order; Jossilyn Blackman of Lewis-Clark State, Brittney Johnson of Carroll College, Mikayla Jones of Rocky Mountain College and Kaylee Zard of Montana Tech.
