(ARGO ATHLETICS RELEASE)

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – A first quarter that included 8 turnovers from the #14 University of Providence and saw the University of Montana Western make 4 of its first 5 threes and take 14 point lead, set the tone for the entire game in an 82-55 loss for the Lady Argos. UP tied its season high for turnovers with 25, and never got closer than 13 points in the second half despite a strong game from senior Stephanie McDonagh.

When UP did hang on to the ball, the team shot fairly well, hitting 44.9 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from three. McDonagh led the team with 18 points and was one of just Lady Argos with a positive assist/turnover ration with 5 assists and 2 turnovers.

The loss is the second straight for UP, both of which have come at home against an unranked opponent and saw the Lady Argos turn it over at least 20 times. The team’s record goes to 15-5 (6-3).
