Porter scores 16 as MSU-Northern men down Montana Tech

HAVRE  – Montana Tech men’s basketball dropped a Saturday night road game to Montana State Northern 75-55.

The Oredigger (9-10, 1-7) offense struggled shooting just 30.9 percent from the field and hitting 4 of 16 from three point range.

The Lights had the hot hand early going 12 of 28 from the field in the first half and shooting 48.1 percent in the game.

Northern led on the boards grabbing 38 to 26 by Tech.

Chris O’Neill led the Diggers with 14 points and four rebounds.

Charles Porter led in scoring for Northern with 16 points and five rebounds.

The Orediggers return to Butte next week when they host Carroll College Thursday.
