Darko-Kelly leads Montana Western past MSU-Northern

DILLON – Zaccheus Darko-Kelly scored a game-high 17 points and Montana Western held off MSU-Northern 79-77 on Saturday.

Darko-Kelly hit seven of 13 field goals and also hauled in five rebounds for Steve Keller’s Bulldogs, which earned a much-needed league win over the Lights. Dom Robinson and Brandon Jones chipped in with 15 points each in the victory.

MSU-Northern was led by Devin Bray’s 17 points, while Ryan Reeves had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Lights led 46-39 at halftime.

Western improved to 14-3 overall and 4-2 in the Frontier Conference. Northern fell to 13-5, 3-3.
